The UNESCO churches, then the Matenadaran and the brandy cellars in the afternoon.

The Azat valley, lavash baking, and the drive south to Goris via Zorats Karer.

Debed canyon and into Georgia

Sanahin and Haghpat, Odzun, then the border at Sadakhlo and on to Tbilisi. The crossing usually takes under an hour.

Tbilisi

The old town, the sulphur baths of Abanotubani, Narikala fortress by cable car, Sioni and Anchiskhati, and the Chreli-Abano quarter. Evening free.

Mtskheta and Kakheti

Jvari and Svetitskhoveli at Mtskheta, both UNESCO-listed, then east into the wine country: Signagi on its hilltop, Bodbe, and a qvevri producer.

The Georgian Military Highway

North to Kazbegi: Ananuri fortress on the reservoir, the Jvari pass at 2,379 metres, and Gergeti Trinity Church at 2,170 with Kazbek behind it.

Back to Tbilisi

Down the highway with stops, and a transfer to Tbilisi airport. We can also return you to Yerevan by road if you are flying from there.

Multi-day journeys need a 20% deposit; the balance is due on arrival in Yerevan.
